Tanignak Productions presents our friends The Brandons in their first release:
Mitch Brandon and I are old picking buddies. He provided the wonderful electric guitar and harmonica work on our first album. When I heard the new album that he and his brother Greg did together, I knew this was something we should feature on the tanignak.com web site. The album has everything we are looking for, a fresh, original, informal approach to music, great songwriting and musicianship, a sense that the song and not the performance is the most important, and above all, a God-honoring message. There are wonderful original numbers that we hope other musicians will pick up on, and some really sparkling arrangements of classic hymns, striking just the right balance of old and new.
The Brandons are using all proceeds of "Along the Way: Songs for the Journey" to support the International Fellowship of First Baptist Pomona and the Southern California Walk to Emmaus, and every cassette sold through tanignak.com will do the same. Give a listen to some great music, and support some great causes as well. Tanignak Productions enthusiastically recommends "Along the Way: Songs for the Journey", the first album by The Brandons.

Notes about "Songs for the Journey" from Mitch Brandon:
For some time now, Greg and I have dreamed of doing a recording together. Since Greg lives in South Carolina and I live in California, it was difficult to work on a project together. But, in August, the Lord provided us a few days and the technology to record. Today, in a motel room in Chicago, we finish. Since we are not professional musicians, this has strictly been a labor of love. This recording is a combination of scripture songs and praise songs that I wrote, along with some new arrangements by Greg of some old hymns and new worship songs. Most of this tape was recorded at Greg's home in Goose Creek, S.C.
Many thanks to my nieces, Lindsey and Katie, and to my nephew Steven for the special effects. Thank-you Julie for lending me your husband (Greg), those evenings after work, and for all your help and encouragement! Thank-you Janet, Joelle, David, Emily and "Grandma", for putting up with my absences from the rest of the family when I was working on this endeavor. Janet, you are God's greatest gift to me this side of heaven! We dedicate this recording to all those pilgrims that serve in difficult places around the world. We pray that you will join with us in showing them our support for their service to our King. May this humble offering encourage you in your journey "Along the Way".
